The Young and the Restless recap for February 10-14 features characters learning a valuable lesson about stick-to-it-ness, and much more.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. So, you went off and married the wrong person? No problem. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) showed us that it’s never too late to ask for a divorce and go win back the hear of your true beloved.
Didn’t convince that unassuming widow that her husband was alive and well the first time? Well, according to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a cool $1 million should do the trick on your next attempt.
Weren’t able to figure out what your former bestie and a scion turned G-Man got up to in Sin City the first dozen times you attempted to? Persevere like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) who was able to finally figure out that the big Vegas mystery concerned a murder committed by Adam to save Chance’s (Donny Boaz) life — was it worth the wait?
YR Musings
Lola: “Was any of it real?” Kyle: “It was real. It just wasn’t forever.” How did Lola (Sasha Calle) resist the urge to slap Kyle during their final tete-a-tete? Especially after learning he didn’t wait one day to jump into bed with Summer (Hunter King).
Nick: “Alright, let’s just say there is some deep dark secret between Chance and Adam and you find out that information. What are you going to do with it? Are you gonna blackmail Adam? Maybe Chance? Maybe both of them?” Or neither. It’s always fun to switch things ups and blackmail a surprise third party.
Nick (Again): “I know what it’s like to be the guy who’s left behind, you know, and you have to run into the happy couple. Every time I turn around.” That has pretty much been Nick’s life since leaving Sharon (Sharon Case). Of course, she probably feels the exact same way. We don’t figure it was easy to see her former husband shacked up with the woman who wrecked her home.
Amanda: “Ripley, we’re over. But if you ever come near me again, your life will be over too.” Chalk up a point for Amanda (Mishael Morgan). However, Ripley’s subsequent aside of “She’s not as strong as she thinks she is” doesn’t seem to bode well for the lady’s future, does it?
Billy: “Victor’s perfect. Yeah, they broke the mold with him…It’s always about him with you, every single time. It’s like we’re in a relationship with another person. And like every other time, you choose him over me.” Victoria: “Well, maybe, if you were half the man he is, I wouldn’t have to.” Dammmmn Vick! Way to hit below the belt.
Chelsea: “What we thought of as a fresh start he thought of as, ‘Oh, God, are we really moving here?'” Adam: “You know, we still could, you know? Connor’s the kid. He does not get to decide these things.” Um, why not? He has decided literally everything else either through lying, scheming, whining, or tugging on heartstrings.
Ashley: “You know, you have accomplished so much. You’re a legend. I mean, everybody thinks of you when they think of Genoa City.” Do they really? Not the Brooks family or any of the Chancellors (or the Reynolds)?
You know, the people who lived in and built the town up decades before Victor (Eric Braeden) arrived and set up shop. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
