The Young and the Restless Recap: Simon Threatens To Kill the Hostages

The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, November 12 features Simon holding Adam, Chelsea, Abby, and Connor hostage, while Chance and Phyllis worked behind the scenes to bring him down, Nick managed to make it all about himself, and Cane and Amanda had a separate, cryptic conversation.

The Young and the Restless Recap: We Need a Hero

Paul (Doug Davidson) tried to talk Simon (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) down, but he threatened to start killing hostages. He grabbed Connor (Judah Mackey) and demanded a plane, along with five million dollars. Adam (Mark Grossman) urged Simon to take him, as he’s a much more valuable hostage.

Did Adam really think a grown man — albeit one with lovely cheekbones — makes a more adorable hostage than a little boy who always looks ready to burst into tears? Adam claimed it’s because he has more experience with crime. But who’ll pay to get him back?

Watch Out

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Jack (Peter Bergman) heard about the standoff, and Nick somehow managed to make himself the primary player, as he raged about how none of this would have happened if he’d believed Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan)… about what? Paul told Nick to stand back and let the professionals do their jobs.

Behind the Scenes With Abby

Meanwhile, who needs the cops when you’ve got Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Chance (Danny Boaz) on the case from behind her laptop. They made contact with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and came up with a plan that climaxed with Chance jumping in through the ceiling and rescuing everyone. Better luck next time, Paul!

While the hotel is under lockdown, Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) had a chat. She didn’t want anyone to know she’s there. Cane pointed out there was no trace of her on the internet. He advised that she can’t run away from her past forever. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
