The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 4, 2020 features a storm as powerful as the one currently battering the real-life East Coast. It’s what’s keeping Paul from rescuing Lauren, who is listening to Sheila tell Lauren everything she’s been dying to hear – but then, as the saying goes, Sheila will have to kill her. No problem!
Plus, Scott tries to find a way to keep his son from the crazy lady he believes is his mother, Neil keeps secrets from Dru and tries to distract her with some dancing, while Olivia has a tough decision to make. The episode first aired on May 15, 1992.
Scott (Peter Barton) is consulting with his lawyer about divorcing Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and suing for custody of Scotty. He doesn’t think Sheila is stable, but Scott’s lawyer doesn’t think that will be enough to take a child away from its mother.
Ha-ha, Sheila isn’t even really Scotty’s mother. And she is totally crazy. Sheila explains to Lauren how she switched their babies, giving Lauren a black market one who died, while Sheila played Mommy to the boy Lauren carried and gave birth to. Here, Lauren can stare at a photo of her bundle of joy. While Sheila sets Lauren – and Sheila’s mother, who also knows the truth – on fire.
Hold on, Lauren, Paul is on his way to rescue you! Except there’s a storm… and the plane he’s on can’t land.
Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) has to decide whether to carry her baby to term or to abort in an attempt to save her life? Neil (Kristoff St. John) tries to help… while keeping the situation a secret from Dru (Victoria Rowell).
Dru senses something is going on, so Neil distracts her with some dancing. That was easy. But how will Neil distract Dru when she learns he kept a secret from her? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
