The Young and the Restless Recap: Sharon’s Health Affects Multiple People

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 31, 2020, features Sharon going in for a medical procedure… which led to Phyllis’ antenna going up, Rey’s workload going down, and Mariah at loose ends.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Sharon (Sharon Case) told Noah — over the phone — that he didn’t need to come home, she has plenty of family around to support her. She also sent Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) off to school and told Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to go take a spa day. Sharon is fine!

After the procedure, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) worried about Sharon getting back to work. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), however, is not. She wants coffee! Now!

Phyllis spied Sharon’s bandage and wondered what that’s all about. Sharon lies. When Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Faith came in, Phyllis bluffed and managed to get Nick to confirm that Sharon is having health problems. Sharon was worried the redhead will blab, but Phyllis was mostly just upset.

Break Time

Rey asked Paul (Doug Davidson) if he can cut down on his work hours, but wouldn’t tell him why. Paul goes along. And that, likely, will be the last time we see him for another month.

Mariah and Tessa: Tour the World

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) left a sad voice message for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), then insisted that everything is fine to Society’s bartender, Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton). They know each other from another club, and Lindsay was definitely flirting. Mariah was oblivious. Lindsay told her that as long as Tessa is on tour living her life, Mariah should have some fun, too.

Feeling Chabby

Oh, also Chance (Donny Boaz) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) talked about him not sleeping with Phyllis, and his maybe sleeping with her. They were also flirting. This time, the audience was oblivious. Chance makes a mysterious phone call about “her.” The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
