The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 8, 2021, spotlights Sharon pushing Chelsea’s buttons, while Jack wants to know what Sally did to push Lauren’s, and Mariah and Abby get the answer they’ve been waiting for.
Sharon (Sharon Case) shows up at Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan), shoos Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) out of the room, then babbles happily to Chelsea that Adam (Mark Grossman) is fine, he’d hiding nearby, and he sends all his love to Chelsea and can’t wait to come home to her. Isn’t that great?
Luckily, Chelsea is faking paralysis, so she doesn’t have to bother putting on a happy face. She only snarks on the inside. When Sharon leaves the room, Chelsea stands up to stomp in fury. And then she announces that she has to follow Sharon!
Kudos to Case for her performance, walking the fine line between bad acting so that viewers can see that Sharon is faking it, while not so bad that it becomes a joke Chelsea should be able to see through.
Jack (Peter Bergman) wants to know what Sally (Courtney Hope) did to make Lauren (Tracey Bregman) so angry with her. Meanwhile, Lauren wants to talk to Summer (Hunter King) about her conflict with Sally.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) doesn’t have time to worry about it, as he’s back to freaking out about Ashland (Richard Burgi). Sally suggests Jack just walk away from her. Jack wants to hear her story, first.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) get the news that they’re pregnant! Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is happy for them, and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) is happy for Devon (Bryton James).
They start making big plans for this problem-free pregnancy and child-rearing situation. Clearly, none of them know they live in a soap opera. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
