The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 17, 2020, features the breaking of soap precedent as Sharon was completely open and honest with everyone about her breast cancer, Billy was honest with Amanda and Victoria… eventually, and Adam and Victor were honest with each other about their future plans.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights: Fight to the Finish
Sharon (Sharon Case) reassured Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and filled Mariah (Camryn Grimes) regarding her breast cancer. Sharon promised to fight, and the girls, as well as Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) pledged their support. Faith decided to stay home with her mom instead of returning to boarding school, though she broke down in front of Nick.
Two Ladies (Not) For Billy
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) wondered why Billy (Jason Thompson) was keeping their friendship a secret from Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Victoria wondered why Billy lied to her about who he’s been meeting with at the dive bar.
Billy finally came clean and, as soon as Victoria offers concern, dove back into his “Oh, woe is me, I’m so broken” offense is the best defense strategy. Victoria wondered if what they really have is love and, when Billy reached for her, she pulled away.
Gentlemen, Take Your Corners
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) arrived to lunch at Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott). After some polite small talk about Conn0r (Judah Mackey), the most important person in the world, Adam brought up his plans to create a legacy for the boy. He’s going to bring back Dark Horse.
Victor was pleased to see his boy moving forward, though Nikki reminded him Adam’s great business move came at Nick’s expense.
Victor noted that Nick started Dark Horse in order to take on his old man. Adam smirked. Victor smirked back. This is how Newmans communicate. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
