The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 16, 2021, finds Rey at the end of his rope with Sharon, Victor at the end of his rope with Chelsea, Summer at the end of her rope with Kyle, and Jack at the end of his rope with Sally.
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is tired of listening to Sharon’s (Sharon Case) excuses about why she always put Adam’s (Mark Grossman) interests ahead of his. He doesn’t want to hear it, he doesn’t want to discuss it in therapy, and he doesn’t want to be married to her anymore. They are done.
While Adam (Mark Grossman) sits in Victor’s (Eric Braeden) house, talking to phantom visages of Sharon and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) about how horrible he is (but, really, how he’s the center of their universe and always will be), Victor pays Chelsea a visit to tell her he’s onto her act.
He also calls her names. Because he’s classy that way. Afterward, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) realizes their jig is up and walks out on her friend.
Summer (Hunter King) has a dream where Kyle (Michael Mealor) moves to New York to be closer to Tara and Harrison. And while he’s not at fault for what her insecurities are telling her, Kyle suggests he prove his devotion to her by them starting to plan their wedding.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) tells Jack (Peter Bergman) how much better off he is without Sally (Courtney Hope). At the same time, Gloria (Judith Chapman) tells Sally that if Jack really matters to her, she should fight for him.
Sally tells Jack she’s going to try harder to be worthy of him. Jack thanks her for the sentiment, but he’s not interested. Phyllis smirks. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
