The Young and the Restless recap for September 14-18, 2020, featured Adam and Chelsea living on (together) to scheme another day, Billy fighting the good fight and so much more.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) was this close to losing Adam (Mark Grossman) for good. But then she said the three little words every man longs to hear. No, not I love you. She’d already said that multiple times and he wasn’t biting. Instead, the magic sentence was, “Let’s get married.”
And suddenly everything was wonderful again…because apparently Adam forgot about the existence of divorce courts. Anyway, he’s happy, Chelsea is thrilled, and with the specter of permanent separation no longer hovering over them, Chadam was able to get down to what was most important to them. No, not setting a wedding date. That can wait.
Instead, the duo began scheming to make the real villain of this whole piece pay for his crimes. That’s right, Victor (Eric Braeden) is a bad, bad man and he must pay for his mishandling of Adam’s long-ago murder.
Journalistic Endeavors
Billy (Jason Thompson) has a story to tell…a big, juicy story. It’s about justice. It’s about secrets revealed. And it involves some pretty big names. So he has to be silenced. As does Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico), his latest ally in the fight against Adam. But just what does he know exactly? Enter Chelsea and her handy dandy listening device.
YR Musings
Welp, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) is indeed Hilary’s sister. Was anyone actually surprised by that “revelation?” And while we’re on the subject, did anyone else think that Devon (Bryton James) and Elena (Brytni Sarpy) were both a little too…uncooperative, unfeeling, and downright rude to the poor woman? She just wanted some information about her sister. Would it have killed Devon to show her some pictures? Is he really that damn fragile?
Theo (Tyler Johnson) and Lola (Sasha Calle) have been having a lot of problems as of late. Now, most of that can be chalked up to miscommunication or missed signals. But does anyone else get the distinct impression that Miss Rosales is sometimes itching for a fight and purposefully engaging in them? Lord help Theo if he ever gives her an expensive purse.
Is there really, REALLY, any more of Dina’s (Marla Adams) history to mine? Does anyone even care what the mystery of her long-missing necklace? When we asked TPTB to give Beth Maitland more screen time and an actual storyline, this is so not what we meant.
Adam: “The way you’re talking about going after Billy, it just – it scares me a little bit. You two, you have history. It could make things a little complicated.” History? Is that what we’re calling sharing a biological child? Does anyone (Chelsea included) even remember that Johnny is actually their offspring? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
