The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, December 1, 2020, kicks off the final month of 2020 with the 12,000th episode of a multi-Emmy award-winning show. Chase and Abby are getting married! Which means it’s time for their parents to give them some last-minute advice! And their guests to remember their own romantic pasts…
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
As Devon (Bryton James) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) stall the wedding guests while Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance (Justin Gaston) try to figure out where they stand, Nick (Joshua Morrow) remembers his first proposal to Sharon (Sharon Case), and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) recalls when she and Billy (Jason Thompson) took their most recent unofficial vows.
At the same time, Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland) flashback to a scene between their parents that none of them witnessed, and imagine that John (Jerry Douglas) and Dina (Marla Adams) are together in heaven… despite not managing to be so on Earth.
Going Places
Chance’s words bring potential runaway bride Abby out of the bathroom, and they decide to go through with the marriage, after all. They agree that all their previous failed relationships don’t matter. This one is for keeps. Let’s go to the Chancellor mansion and do this thing!
Agony Aunt
Now that the wedding is back on, Chance gets a pep talk from mom Nina (Tricia Cast), who admits that she and his dad weren’t in love, but recalls the love she had with Ryan (Scott Reeves), who treated little Chance (then called Phillip) as his own.
Ashley and Abby go through the old, new, borrowed, blue routine, and Abby assures Ashley she was the best mother she could ever imagine having. Victor (Eric Braeden) gives his daughter his best wishes and talks about the true love he has found… with a woman other than her mother, as he recalls happy days with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Then Jack tells Abby how wonderful she is.
And it’s time for the wedding to begin! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
