The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, July 29, 2021, deals with the fallout of Phyllis Summers’s dip into movie making, as Kyle Abbott confronts Tara Locke and Jack Abbott confronts Sally Spectra – and Phyllis. Plus, Ashland Locke changes his approach, and Amanda Sinclair and Devon Hamilton stay the course.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) sent the video of Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) and Sally (Courtney Hope) arguing in the elevator to Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor). Tara explained it away as, oh, noes, she’s just been so overwhelmed lately with being a good mother, a good ex, and, of course, a good house-guest, blink, blink, baby blue eyes, blink, blink. Move along, nothing to see here, this is not the schemer you’re looking for.
Jack then moves onto Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) who flails wildly about the horror of having a grown daughter living somewhere out of her sight and advises Jack he’ll be grateful to her someday for bringing this to his attention. Sally also tries to defend herself to Jack, but he says he can’t trust her and leaves yet again. Honestly, Sally, at this point, the dude just isn’t worth it! You can do better!
Young and the Restless: Other Side
Ashland (Richard Burgi) agrees to seek treatment for his cancer, and goes to tell Tara – and Harrison – about the change. Tara is feeling so confident to have both Kyle and Ashland back under her control that she advises Sally to just stick to their story and everything will be fine – as Kyle overhears, and maybe finally buys a clue.
Y&R: Love Is All Around
After having sex and talking about her family, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) casually tells Amanda Sinclair that he loves her. Amanda (Mishael Morgan) casually says it back. Then they remain politely seated, wondering what comes next.
