The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, September 15, 2020, features Phyllis challenging Jack’s conclusions, Billy throwing caution to the wind, Victor mumbling a warning Kyle’s way, and Amanda getting life-changing news.
Jack (Peter Bergman) waxes poetic to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) about how seeing an old home movie from Dina (Marla Adams), convinced Jack his mother was trying to tell him that family is the most important thing in the world and he should drop everything and focus on that.
Uhm… Phyllis says, ‘I don’t think that word means what you think it means.’ Dina dumped her husband and her kids so she could move to another continent and live the jet-setting life while marrying a rich guy and turning his company into an international powerhouse.
Does that sound like the kind of woman who’d be urging her son to keep the home fires burning? If Dina was trying to sound her son a message, he got his signals crossed.
Billy (Jason Thompson) hires Alyssa to work at Chancellor Communications so they can publish a story exposing Victor and Adam (Mark Grossman). Alyssa wonders if it’s a problem that she has an ax to grind. Billy thinks it’s a feature, not a bug. Alyssa wonders if Billy will kill the story if it seems like it might hurt someone he loves. Nope, Billy says, nothing could stop him. Nice to know Johnny and Katie are collateral damage when it comes to going after Victor.
Victor (Eric Braeden) thinks that Kyle (Michael Mealor) acted like a bastard where Summer (Hunter King) is concerned. Victor is right. Victor tells Kyle as much. Summer defends her boo.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) is Hilary’s twin. She tells Devon (Bryton James). They look at each other meaningfully.
