The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, October 30 features the Abbotts picking up the pieces after Ashley’s departure and trying to decide what comes next

Plus, Phyllis dropped two major bombshells about two very different situations, and a pumpkin came home to roost.

Team Abbott
Over breakfast, Jack (Peter Bergman), Traci (Beth Maitland), Billy (Jason Thompson), Kyle (Michael Mealor), and Abby (Melissa Ordway) decided to all work together for the good of the family and toasted to “Team Abbott!”

By lunchtime, they were squabbling over who should be the new CEO of Jabot, reminding Jack that he’s old and Billy that he’s a loser.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) had a suggestion. She’s dyed her hair back to red, so we know she means business.

Phyllis suggested she be named CEO to show that the company is starting fresh. It’s particularly ironic because Phyllis is who Jack first wrote the Blood Abbott Clause against. But that’s all gone now!

Jack and Billy are sure she has no chance of being elected, but Traci wonders if it might not be for the best… for Team Abbott.

Waterworks
Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) learned that a water pipe burst under the fountain that covers JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) make-shift grave.

She and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) called Phyllis and Sharon for a pow-wow and Phyllis – still a redhead – insisted they have no choice, they have to dig up JT’s body!

Charity Work
Sharon (Sharon Case) joined Nick (Joshua Morrow), Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Christian for a visit to the pumpkin patch. There, they ran into Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), shopping at the Farmer’s Market with Lola (Sasha Calle). Nick made a frowny face.

Later, Sharon invited Rey to a Halloween party, then ran off to do “charity work.” Rey wrote down “charity work,” and makes a thinky face.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
