The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, January 19, 2021, features burgeoning crises like Abby learning she’ll never be able to carry a baby to term, Faith hanging out with the wrong crowd and drinking, plus Devon, Elena, and Amanda not being exactly honest about their feelings – with themselves.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) doctor told her her uterus was too scarred from her miscarriage to ever carry a baby but that medical opinion wasn’t fact until Victor (Eric Braeden) said it was.

He called in a specialist for a second opinion, who told Abby the same thing. Then Victor informed his daughter that she had other options for giving him a grandchild. Chance (Donny Boaz) suggested now might not be the time to discuss it. Victor should go.

Granddaughter Drama

Speaking of grandchildren, Sharon (Sharon Case) asked Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to speak with Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) about her recent drinking. Faith was pissed off. She’s not an alcoholic! She’s just a dumb kid who drank a few times! She doesn’t need a lecture from Grandma, and she doesn’t need a therapist!

Sharon wanted to know if Faith was eavesdropping on Sharon and Nick (Joshua Morrow) talking about getting Faith therapy. They were talking at the top of their lungs in a house where Faith lives. How could she have not heard them?

Later, Victor tells Nikki about Abby, and Nikki is sympathetic for a hot minute before changing the subject to Faith. Victor is sympathetic for a hot minute before changing the subject to Adam (Mark Grossman). So we know who is still the center of the universe.

True Feelings

Lily (Christel Khalil) wants to know Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) feelings for Devon (Bryton James). Lily wants to know Devon’s feelings for Amanda. Nate (Sean Dominic) tells Elena (Brytni Sarpy) it’s OK to still have feelings for Devon. No one understands the concept of boundaries. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
