The Young and the Restless recap for August 10, 2020, features the first new episode in months! And how did YR decide to celebrate an end to their reruns? Why, with a clip show, of course!
Under the guise of Billy and Lily shooting a video about Katherine Chancellor’s memorial, various Genoa City citizens talk about… themselves. Missed Genoa City these past few months? Here’s where we left off!
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) take turns ambushing people and asking about Katherine (Jeanne Cooper). Some stick more or less to the topic. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) recalls Kay being her godmother before going off on a tangent about her now running Newman Enterprises. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) says what a wonderful woman Kay was… before talking about Victoria recently being stabbed. What is this city coming to!
When Lily pursues Nikki’s train of thought and asks questions about the Newman family, Nikki stomps off in a huff and goes crying to Victor that she thinks Billy – who wasn’t even there – is planning an exposé about their family. Victor threatens Billy.
Adam (Mark Grossman) comes jogging by and thinks about how he was going to blackmail Victor, but Victoria blackmailed him back. Devon at least invokes his grandmother when he recalls how he lost – and found – his inheritance, then opened a free clinic with Elena (Brytni Sarpy), whom he is sure Kay sent into his life from heaven.
And then there are the people who might as well have said, Katherine Who? Jack (Peter Bergman) mostly talked about his mother and her deteriorating health. Nick (Joshua Morrow) waxed poetic about how brave and strong Sharon (Sharon Case) is fighting breast cancer, and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) agreed.
Finally, Lily asked Amanda (Mishael Morgan) – who never even met Kay – about her love life, and Amanda thought about Nate (Sean Dominic). And now you’re all caught up! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
