The Young and the Restless day-ahead recap (YR) for Monday, June 18th features a day of big changes for the Newman and Abbott families. Lines are crossed, bitter rivalries ignited, and a relationship took a massive step forward.
A Sneaky Scheme
Summer (Hunter King) decided to work at Fenmore’s simply wasn’t enough and pushed hard to be a crossover employee with Jabot.
She convinced her mom to chat Billy (Jason Thompson) up about a synergy position that would have her running around the whole floor.
While Billy was reluctant to have Summer anywhere near him, he eventually gave in instead of explaining all the reasons why she needs to stay away.
However, he did do one thing to protect himself: He put Kyle (Michael Mealor) on the project as well. If Summer wants to get to him, she’ll have to go through Kyle first.
Unfortunately, this play didn’t stop Summer from having things her way. She warned Billy it’d only be a matter of time before she wore him down!
Shocking News
Later, at the club, she and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) ran into Nick (Joshua Morrow) who was fresh from a meeting with Brittany (Lauren Woodland).
He was pretty upset after the legal eagle told him to leave Sharon (Sharon Case) in the dust and losing his son.
He even gave Summer a piece of his mind for not showing up for Father’s Day (which was news to Phyllis).
An Odd Interrogation
Speaking of the custody case, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) ran into Sharon at the coffee house and asked what she could do to help.
Speaking to Victor (Eric Braeden) is out of the question (since he wouldn’t listen anyway) so Vicky decided to give Brittany a call instead. It’s a move she could regret!
While Brittany would be more than happy to have Victoria on Nick’s side during the next hearing, she was more interested in talking about JT than anything.
She was one of his best friends and can’t wrap her mind around his violent downfall. She pushed Vicky for answers but got silence instead.
