The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, May 11, 2020, takes fans back to June 30, 1998, for the kick-off Great Rivalries week in which Jill railed at Kay over everything she’s cost her, and Kay called Jill a bunch of names.
Just another day in Genoa City. In addition, Victor was horrified to learn that some rules might, in fact, apply to him, and Nick sang another woman’s praises to Sharon.
Jill (Jess Walton) was in Kay’s (Jeanne Cooper) attic, looking for proof that the late Phillip left her something beyond an illegitimate son Jill spent years ignoring. She’s hoping for money. Maybe stock options. Real estate?
What she got was Kay catching her in the snooping act. Jill reminded that Phillip never loved Kay. Kay reminded Jill that she’s a whore. Kay knocked Jill over. They rolled around on the floor. Jill choked Kay but stopped short of killing her. Very classy, ladies. Very classy.
Victor (Eric Braeden) was forced to admit to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that he may not have been completely divorced from Diane (Alex Donnelly) when he married Nikki in that beautiful, deathbed ceremony.
He blamed Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) for doing his job as Diane’s lawyer and invalidating Victor and Nikki’s marriage. Victor turned to Christine (Lauralee Bell) for help and demanded she tell him about how Michael sexually harassed her. So Victor was going to blackmail Michael with something he already served time for?
Sharon’s best friend, Grace (Jennifer Gareis), was working with Nick, and Sharon was jealous and didn’t want them around each other. And look, it’s a tiny Camryn Grimes (then-Cassie, now-Mariah). How cute was she???? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
