The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, June 25, 2020, features the November 15, 1991 episode that won Peter Bergman his second consecutive Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor. In it, Jack has had enough of Nikki’s drinking, so he finally complains about it… to John.

At the same time, Ashley tries to interest Victor in his ex-wife’s self-destructive behavior, but Victor isn’t much interested, while Dina is very interested… in John. Which certainly piques Jill’s interest!

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) wakes up from a night of binge drinking with absolutely no memory of what she put away the evening before. Jack can no longer pretend he isn’t bothered by it and stomps out of his house, straight to Daddy John’s (Jerry Douglas) office, where he unloads about how much Nikki’s actions are tearing him apart. He lays out a compelling (and Emmy-winning) case. But what does he expect John to do about it?

Taking Matters Into My Own Hands

Ashley (Shari Shattuck) wants Victor (Eric Braeden) to do something about it. But despite Nikki being the love of Victor’s life, Victor isn’t married to her at the moment – so what does he care? Victor tells Ashley Nikki’s drinking is Nikki’s business. You know what kind of a hands-off guy Victor is. Ashley goes to see Nikki, who blows her off almost as much as Victor just did.

Remember It Well

Jill (Jess Walton) doesn’t like how much influence Dina (Marla Adams) still exerts over Jill’s husband. So while Dina is buttering up John over lunch regarding how to celebrate Traci (Beth Maitland) and Brad’s (Don Diamont) return from their honeymoon, Jill is hiring Paul (Doug Davidson) and Nathan (Nathan Purdee) to dig up some dirt on her rival. And get her out of Genoa City for good. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
