The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Friday, June 15 features a father’s day in Genoa City the Newman family will never forget.
Cold Winters
The Ashby clan spent an uplifting afternoon celebrating Cane (Daniel Goddard) and showering him with love and gifts but that nearly came to an end when they showed up at Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) condo.
While the good times were great at first they came to an end when Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) crossed the hall.
The family wasn’t exactly receptive to Hilary getting in on the action but that was nothing compared to finding out she was Devon’s girl again! After a night of passion, the two have officially reunited and the news nearly sent Lily (Christel Khalil) flying off the handle. It was only with sheer grit she kept her composure and her thoughts to herself.
Another Downfall
Over at the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) got a devastating shock when Dina (Marla Adams) reverted right back to childhood.
She even made her daddy a card for Father’s Day begging him to come home. The upsetting note tore at Jack’s heart and made him realize his mother’s abandonment came at a cost to her too. It was all she really knew.
This got Kyle thinking of how best to help his dad. Jack deserves to know who his father is and Kyle promised to be along for the entire ride.
He even kept Dina occupied so Jack could snoop through her room for clues. While Jack didn’t find a name, he did find a key to a mysterious Genoa City safety deposit box.

A Shocking Reveal
Over at Sharon’s, she and Nick (Joshua Morrow) broke the custody news to Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) who then broke down. To make things worse, she also found out Nick wasn’t Christian’s father after all.
Faith was furious her parents lied all this time but she directed her rage at her grandpa for destroying her happy family.
Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) was at the club having a grand old time – well, until Abby (Melissa Ordway) showed up with Arturo (Jason Canela) in tow. The two men had a sit-down and the handyman warned the Newman CEO he wasn’t going anywhere.
However, Victor was quick with his threats too and let Arturo know not to step out of line or he’d feel his full wrath.
Bitter Rivals
As if that explosion wasn’t enough, Nick and Sharon took to the club for a dinner of their own and ran into the family.
Things got tense when Victor tried to turn them away and dismiss Nick from sitting with the family. Of course, Nick fought back as best he could and made sure the truth came out for his sister’s to hear.
The Newman daughters were in shock by their father’s antics and the entire family turned on the patriarch.
