The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, October 21, 2020, picks up after Devon punched out Nate. He pouts and Elena explains, and Amanda and Phyllis dissect what happened. Plus, Billy tattles on Faith to Mariah, who tattles to Nick – right after telling Faith how much she trusts her.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) assures Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) that she believes she can make her own decisions. But after Billy (Jason Thompson) reports that he saw Faith in the park with some older girl – following the perfunctory reminder that Billy is a terrible person for publishing the expose on Adam (Mark Grossman) – Mariah called Nick (Joshua Morrow). Nick went and got his daughter and brought her back to the coffee house, where Faith did her best imitation of a sullen teenager.
Fault Lines
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) couldn’t contain her curiosity as to why Devon (Bryton James) punched Nate (Sean Dominic) – and what this might mean for her hotel. Amanda (Mishael Morgan) filled Phyllis in on Nate and Elena’s (Brytni Sarpy) fling. And then promptly blamed herself. If only she hadn’t started asking Devon questions about Hilary, Elena would have never felt so threatened that she slept with Nate. Yeah. It doesn’t make sense to Phyllis, either.
Aftermath
Devon first pouts at Society, where he blows off Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) attempt to make chit-chat. Then he goes to sit in the dark at his house. Elena tells him that Nate’s hand sustained nerve damage. He may never operate again! (Did he operate before? Wasn’t he a general practitioner? It’s so hard to keep track. He does it all!)
But maybe Amanda was on to something because Devon also wonders if Elena slept with Nate because he’d been talking about Hilary. She swears that’s not it. Then says she was afraid of losing him to Hilary… and Amanda. Then she grovels for his forgiveness.
