The Young and the Restless recap for January 18-22, 2021, features Abby getting a case of the baby blues, Summer’s suspicions paying off, and so much more.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlight
Abby (Melissa Ordway) learned from not one, not two, but three specialists that she’d never be able to carry a baby to term. The news proved utterly devastating, but it served to show how important it is to surround oneself with friends and family.
After taking some much needed personal time, Abby began to adjust to her situation, and decided that she wasn’t going to let her diagnosis impede her desire to start a family. There’s more than one way to skin a cat, and a plethora of other ways that she and Chance (Donny Boaz) can have a child together.
Chill Out
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) continued to meddle in Billy’s (Jason Thompson) and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) romantic affairs, but Billy refused to see the warning signs. Instead, he dismissed Lily’s concerns and convinced her to go ice skating with him.
Work In Progress
Hoping to nip Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) teenage rebellion in the bud, Sharon (Sharon Case) turned to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), asked for advice, and wondered if she’d preach to the young woman about the dangers of alcohol abuse.
Faith was less than pleased to find out that her privacy had once again been invaded, and she insisted to Sharon that she was neither a delinquent nor an addict and she wanted to be treated with a little respect…which is not Sharon’s strong suit. She can’t even honor her husband’s request that she not involve herself in Adam’s (Mark Grossman) private life.
And speaking of Adam, he continued to worry about Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) progress, though he was thrilled when she attempted to communicate – despite not being able to figure out that she was desperately trying to read a visiting Sharon the riot act.
Five Is Most Definitely Company
After dodging multiple phone calls from Gloria (Judith Chapman), Kevin (Greg Rikaart) was shocked to come face to face with mommie dearest at Crimson Lights. And he was further disconcerted when she revealed that his insistence on destroying that flashdrive full of blackmail material robbed her of a place to live and job. So, guess who’s moving in with Kevin & Co…
Eyes On The Prize
Summer (Hunter King) traveled to Los Angeles to get some dirt on Sally (Courtney Hope), and wound up uncovering some absolute filth courtesy of Sally’s former love rival, Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden).
Now Summer knows that Sally’s ready, willing, and able to commit, amongst other crimes, fraud and kidnapping to further her goals…and Summer’s sure she can use that newfound knowledge to her advantage. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
