The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 30 finds Hilary’s friends and family reacting to her death in various ways. Devon insists on working through his pain, as does Mariah.
Plus, Jack and Phyllis reconnected over their mutual loss, and Summer thought she had a cure for what ails Billy.
Work Heals All Wounds
Devon (Bryton James) refused to process his grief, and headed off to work, also refusing to discuss the situation with anyone, including a guilt-ridden Nate (Brooks Darnell). A sobbing Mariah (Camryn Grimes), on the other hand, did a special show to honor her late boss.
Watching it, Devon finally broke down in front of Neil (Kristoff St. John). And now he’s ready for some revenge!
Later, Mariah caught sight of Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), who told her she couldn’t leave Mariah – she’ll be back. And then she leaves again.
Friends Forever
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Jack (Peter Bergman) mourned Hilary (Mishael Morgan), and Phyllis promoted Jack to her new best friend.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) warned Jack not to use his new company to get revenge, but Jack pointed out Nick only started the company to get revenge on Victor (Eric Braeden). Like his dad, Nick assumes regular rules don’t apply to him.
Mama Mia!
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Nick were both sporting black eyes, thanks to their fight earlier. Billy tried to express his condolences regarding Hilary to Phyllis, but she wasn’t interested in watching him self-destruct again.
Billy was furious, and Summer (Hunter King) suggested a plan to get back at her mom. She leaned in for a kiss.
Billy was still in his right mind enough to observe that sleeping with Phyllis’ daughter would be a very, very bad idea. So, then he’d sleep with her if she wasn’t Phyllis’ daughter? Billy told her to cut it out.
