The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, August 14, 2020, reminds viewers that while Victor has other hurting children and Sharon is recovering from cancer surgery, there is no one more important than Adam. Plus, the Abbott children leap to conclusions, Tessa makes a sacrifice, and Amanda and Devon compare childhoods.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) gets the full story from Victor (Eric Braeden) about what Adam (Mark Grossman) tried to blackmail him with. Nick assumes it’s the end of the road. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will be CEO and the rest of them will cut Adam out of their lives for good. Right? Right, Victor?
Not exactly. Victor refuses to give up on his son, so a pouty Nick stomps out. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) tries to make him see his other children’s point of view, but Victor sticks to his guns. When Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) brings Connor by the ranch, they discuss how important it is that Adam is happy.
Adam wants Sharon (Sharon Case) to help him remember what happened when he was eleven. Nick arrives and is furious that Adam is bothering a sick woman. Adam didn’t know Sharon was sick but still won’t give up on asking for her help. By the end of the day, she agrees.
Photo Finish
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) obsess over a random word Dina (Marla Adams) said. Traci (Beth Maitland) guesses that it’s the name of their old camera. She wants to watch home movies. Sure. Why not?
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) assures Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that she is perfectly happy blowing off music festivals to stay home with her love.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) assures Devon (Bryton James) that she is perfectly happy doing pro bono work for him. They talk about their poor childhoods and how far they’ve come. At least Amanda worked to achieve her financial success. Devon inherited his. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
