The Young and the Restless recap for February 8-12, 2021, features Theo and Sally dropping a truth bomb, Abby bogarting the limelight, Johnny making Lily and Billy feel extra uncomfortable, and Victoria trying, and failing, to be happy for her ex.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Theo (Tyler Johnson) gleefully revealed to Kyle (Michael Mealor) that he’d told Sally (Courtney Hope) all about the affair the Abbot scion had with Tara Locke. Then he told Kyle about the secret love child that the affair had produced.
Sally promised that she would keep Kyle’s secret…as long as he made sure that Summer (Hunter King) kept hers. But Kyle, desperate to get out from under Sally’s thumb, decided that his best course of action was to come clean to Summer.
And he put in some valiant effort. But he was first stymied by Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) presence, and then once he and Summer were alone he couldn’t find the right words…or manage to put them in the right order. Perhaps a change of venue would put him in a better frame of mind? Summer didn’t see the benefit, but Kyle insisted, and the pair headed off for parts unknown.
A Real Steal
Victor (Eric Braeden) ordered his children to meet him and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) for a family meal – which Abby (Melissa Ordway) preceded to hijack with the news concerning her and Chance’s plan to have a baby via surrogacy.
Victor left halfway through Abby’s spiel to take a phone call, then he returned and basked in the glow of her praise – since Victor is ultimately responsible for her good fortune.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) greeted Abby’s news with enthusiasm – and rejoiced in the fact that the latest Newman conference had devolved into a conversation about Adam (Mark Grossman).
Ex-Marks The Sore Spot
Meanwhile, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) spent a slightly awkward evening with Johnny, who forced them into admitting that they were dating. Afterward, Billy filled Victoria in on the conversation and he told her that Johnny had taken the news quite well.
Victoria tried to put on a brave face, but it was obvious that she was greatly perturbed by the event. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
