The Young and the Restless Recap: Elena Breaks Down, Billy Steps Up

The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, October 20, 2020, features a socially-distanced headline event at The Grand Phoenix, as Devon receives an award, Elena and Nate stand around looking guilty, and Amanda avoids her ex. Until everything blows up. Meanwhile, Jack has some questions for Billy, and Gloria comes home – which is a blow-up of its own.

Gloria (Judith Chapman) sweeps into Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) home as if life were a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death. She claims that she’s there to meet Baby Miles, and she does spend some time cooing over him and Bella.

But Kevin knows what this ebullient mood of his mother’s means: Gloria is keeping a secret. When Kevin asks, though, she throws an insulted fit. Which just confirms Kevin’s suspicions.

Look Around

Lily (Christel Khalil) heads out to Devon’s (Bryton James) big shindig, while Billy (Jason Thompson) drops by Jack’s (Peter Bergman) to offer his condolences over Dina (Marla Adams). Talk turns to women, and Jack notes how well Billy seems to be working with Lily. Billy agrees. They’ve really found their groove professionally. What about personally, Jack wonders?

Spilling the Beans

Elena (Brytni Sarpy) proves she is not a good fit for Genoa City when only a few days of keeping a secret drive her to the edge. After Devon, as part of his acceptance speech, praises all the work Elena and Nate have been doing at the clinic, Elena breaks into tears and confesses. She begs Devon to forgive her.

Meanwhile, Nate and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) share some awkward small talk now that he’s dumped her for no reason. Which is luckily interrupted by a fuming Devon, who wants to punch something. Nate will do.
