The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, May 7, 2020, flashes back over 20 years to April 14, 1998, when Victor had to explain to Diane why he remarried Nikki, Phyllis had to explain to Christine why she should forgive her stalker, and Kay explained to Keith why he should give up on Jill.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was in the hospital, dying. No, not from the disease she was faking on Tuesday. She recovered from that. This time, it was a gunshot wound. Nikki’s life was slipping away. And only one thing could save her. No, not surgery. No, not a blood transfusion. No, not prayer. Victor (Eric Braeden), of course!
Victor married Nikki in her hospital bed in order to give her the will to live. Who would choose to die when faced with the possibility of a life with Victor? Not even Nikki, who’d already walked away from that gift. Several times.
Now Victor had to explain to Diane (that would be Kyle’s late mom), why he did it. And why he expected her to wait around until he says it’s time to dump Nikki and return to her, again.
Be a Sport
Phyllis (yes, that’s Phyllis #2) berated Christine (Lauralee Bell) for not supporting a newly-released-from-jail Michael’s (Christian J. LeBlanc) bid to get a new lawyer job. She is being so petty! Just because the man stalked and tried to rape her, doesn’t mean she should have any objections to writing him a lovely letter of recommendation.
Nick and Sharon: Bad Romance
Nick (Joshua Morrow) had to deal with Sharon (Sharon Case) learning that her friend Grace’s little pal, Cassie (Camryn Grimes), was actually the daughter Sharon gave up for adoption. He was stompy and yell-y and very Nick-y about it.
Also, Jill (Jess Walton) pouted that Kay (Jeanne Cooper) told the guy Jill doesn’t want to marry that Jill doesn’t want to marry him. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
