The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, December 23, 2020, celebrates Christmas in Genoa City with Jack and Phyllis cleaning up their kids’ messes, Devon calming Amanda down, Victor being magnanimous, and Sharon attempting a new dish.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Just in case Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Hunter King) don’t already believe they and their love are the most important things to ever grace Genoa City, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) feed into their self-absorption by figuring out how they are about to screw up each other’s Christmas presents and riding to the rescue so that their babies don’t feel an inkling of disappointment.
The Christmas That Could Have Been
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) frets over the possibility of meeting her biological mother, and Devon (Bryton James) soothes her with tales of how grateful he was to get to know Tucker and Kay (Jeanne Cooper). They then read out loud a Christmas letter Hilary wrote as a little girl and marvel at what an unselfish and loving little girl she was. They don’t discuss what she was like as a grown-up. Amanda looks up the driving distance to her bio mom’s hometown.
Big Man
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) suggested she and Victor (Eric Braeden) spend New Year’s Eve in London. Victor shot down her idea. Now, he generously tells her he’s changed his mind. They are off to London, after all. Nikki proclaims him the best man she’s ever known.
Try, Try Again
Sharon (Sharon Case) tries to cook Celeste’s (Eva LaRue) Christmas tradition recipe for Rey (Jordi Vilasuso). It turns out terribly. She is mortified and he tells her it’s fine. They’ll make their own traditions! They’ll get married on New Year’s Eve and live a charmed life from then on! Who is this Adam (Mark Grossman) of which you speak of…The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
