The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, March 3, 2021, proves how mature Kyle and Summer are as they both keep secrets from the other, how mature Faith is with how smoothly she manipulates her parents, and Chelsea’s experience with the long con.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is determined to get better for Connor’s sake but that’s not all she wants if fantasies mean anything. She dreams of getting up from her wheelchair… and shooting Adam (Mark Grossman) in the chest. Doesn’t she know that never kills him?
Guilt Trip
Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) apology to her parents for her recent bratty behavior is actually just a very clever guilt trip. When Faith heard that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) wanted to send her to therapy, she thought that meant there was something wrong with her, and they didn’t accept her for who she was, sob, sob, sniff, sniff, is anyone looking, oh, yes, more sob.
Nick and Sharon promptly tripped over themselves to tell Faith that she was perfect just the way she is, no room for improvement at all. Maybe Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) should have tried the same technique when he tried to convince Sharon to go to couples counseling with him.
Big Bang
Kyle (Michael Mealor) angsts about possibly having a son, and goes to Traci (Beth Maitland) to play a game of, “What if Jack (Peter Bergman) hadn’t claimed me as his?” Traci adds to his guilt by going on and on about how, as soon as Jack learned that Kyle was his, nothing could keep him away from his little boy.
Meanwhile, a suspicious Summer (Hunter King) goes to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) for help hacking into Kyle’s phone. Phyllis advises her daughter not to invade Kyle’s privacy in this manner, but Summer says the magic word, “Sally!” Sally knows Kyle’s secret and is holding it over Summer and Kyle’s heads. Now won’t her mother help Summer break the law? (But don’t tell Nick!)
Yet, Phyllis surprises everyone (maybe even herself) by telling her daughter if what they have is real, she needs to tell Kyle to confide in her. Oh my gosh, Summer does and Kyle finally tells her about his son! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
