The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, July 8 looks ahead to when Victor Newman might decide Chelsea deserves to be released – while Michael Baldwin wonders when Chloe Fisher might ‘fess up, and Conner wonders when he can see Mommy. Plus, Abby Chancellor wonders where Mariah Copeland disappeared to.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) gets a day pass to the park! Luckily, everyone she might want to see is also there! She and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) debate who is really to blame for her being in a mental institution.
Chelsea’s vote goes for Adam – and Victor (Eric Braeden). Sure, she may have been the one who tried to frame Adam for Rey Rosales’s (Jordi Vilasuso) attempted murder. But since when is that a crime? (Since quite a while ago, actually, but we can see how living in Genoa City, where Victor never pays for anything, might have confused her.)
Michael (Christian LeBlanc) all but spells out to Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Henrickson) that he knows she conspired with Chelsea, but he’s not pressing charges. Chloe responds by rushing off to see Chelsea, where they discuss their conspiracy in a public place. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) isn’t pleased.
Meanwhile, Adam goes to Victor and suggests that Chelsea should be set free. Victor agrees to make a phone call. Adam, however, isn’t ready to let Conner (Judah Mackey) see his mom. Rey gives him a strong talk-to. So Adam gives in. He’s a giver, that way.
Abby (Melissa Ordway), Nina Webster (Tricia Cast), and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) assume Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is on a business trip – even though her clothes and suitcase are still at home. Then Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) says he never sent Mariah on one.
