The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 12 features endings and beginnings, as Chelsea Newman is released from the mental hospital and goes on an apology tour, Nikki Newman has questions for Victoria Newman and Ashland Locke, and Tara Locke uses her son for multiple purposes.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) isn’t pleased that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) allowed Chelsea to see Connor (Judah Mackey). Chelsea isn’t pleased that Adam won’t let her take Connor with her to nurse Anita (Catherine Bach).
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) isn’t pleased when Chelsea strongly suggests all her crimes were the result of Adam being in love with Sharon while he was claiming to be in love with her. Nonetheless, Sharon tells Adam he should let Chelsea take Connor out of town with her. Adam agrees…but then Victor shows up to announce that uh, no, he’s the one who’ll be making the final call on that.
Y&R: Where Is This Relationship Going
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) agrees that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) joining forces with Ashland (Richard Burgi) professionally is a good idea. But she is worried about Victoria falling for him personally – especially when the man only has a few months left to live.

Young and Restless Recap: Tool Box
Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) exchange sickly sweet sentiments about their perfection of a child. Tara suggests a picnic for the three of them. To which she invites Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)…and Ashland.
Ashland arrives, and Tara claims he got his dates mixed up. She meant tomorrow. Ashland starts to suffer symptoms of his mystery illness, so Tara shoos Harrison and Kyle away…right after asking Sally to film a video of them together. Oh, woe is me, Tara, sniffles, what will she and Kyle do to protect their precious son from seeing his other daddy grow sicker and sicker?
The first thing she can do is delete the video Sally shot of the confrontation. Which she does…right after sending herself a copy. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
