The Young and the Restless Recap: Cassie’s Alive Again And Demands Answers

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, July 31, 2020 ends a turbulent month of stories with a particularly turbulent episode from November 21, 2003. It’s pretty confusing, since, on Wednesday’s episode Cassie died, on Thursday’s she was dead, but here she is again, alive and well – and curious about the identity of her biological father.

And speaking of fathers, Victor goes to visit his. Guess if you’re going to do Newman family week, you got to end with Victor yelling his heart out… even if it does screw up the timeline.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Victor (Eric Braeden) tracks down his father, Albert (George Kennedy), and Albert wants to know why. Victor claims it wasn’t for his sake. It was so he could show his son, Nick (Joshua Morrow) how important family is. (And so Nick can feel even worse whenever Victor starts whining about his sad, orphanage childhood.) Unlike Cora, the mother who abandoned him, Albert isn’t sorry, doesn’t beg Victor’s forgiveness, or tell him what an amazing man he has grown up to be – despite his sad, orphanage childhood.

The lack of worship confuses Victor. Who responds as he does to all things – by yelling. When Albert yells back, it’s a new experience for The Mustache.

Daddy’s Home

Cassie (Camryn Grimes) wants to know about Frank, the guy she saw talking to Sharon (Sharon Case). She also wants to know about her biological father. What a great chance to kill two birds with one stone!

Meanwhile, Danny (Michael Damian) is back in Genoa City. He’s happy to reconnect with his Cricket (Lauralee Bell). While Danny is checking in with sister Gina (Patty Weaver), Christine is questioning Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Later, Danny himself bumps into Phyllis.
