The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, December 27, 2019, features our favorite GC folks celebrating Christmas Eve. There was an Abbott family dinner Billy did his best to try and get out of. Plus, Lauren and Michael got an unexpected surprise, and Kyle and Lola reveled in happiness with only a few mentions of Theo to ruin things.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Billy (Jason Thompson) sent Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and the kids on ahead to Telluride so he could stay behind and fix a business issue. He also texted Amanda (Mishael Morgan) to let her know he was alone at Christmas. She suggested he grab take-out and come over.
Jack (Peter Bergman) appeared to drag Billy to an Abbott family dinner, so he told Amanda he’ll join her to play cards later.
Billy did duck out of dinner early – but he ended the night playing solitaire on the computer alone.
Fen (Zack Tinker) surprised Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) at Christmas dinner. He talked about falling off the wagon and going into rehab. (While Billy thought about how Fen’s situation applies to him. Because everything is about him.) Fen gave his folks a compass to thank them for guiding his way… and saving his life.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle) celebrated a romantic first Christmas, exchanging gifts that are a better fit than last year’s Great Purse Fiasco, and only a quick mention of Theo (Tyler Johnson), with Lola admitting she’s been texting him — he’s alone for the holidays.
The Abbott children feted Dina (Marla Adams) under the tree, telling her it wouldn’t be Christmas without her. (Guess their dad making the holiday special all those years for his kids while Mommy was gallivanting around Europe was for nothing. Tough break, John.) Singing commenced.
