The Young and the Restless Recap: Billy Is Still Talking To Himself

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 10, 2020, has Phyllis making all sorts of new friends, Amanda making a confession, and Sharon clinging to the present.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) said good-bye as Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) went off on tour, on Mariah’s birthday. They swore this won’t come between them.

Mariah celebrated with Sharon (Sharon Case) and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and Sharon vows to cherish every moment.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) came over and they looked at pictures of Cassie, remembering the beloved daughter they lost. Sharon made an appointment for a biopsy and then had sex with Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) without talking about the future.

Friend In Need

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) filled Amanda (Mishael Morgan) in on her past with both the Abbotts and the Newman, and assured her being friends will be fun.

After Amanda left to meet with Billy (Jason Thompson), Phyllis got rid of Abby (Melissa Ordway) and mosied over to Chance (Danny Boaz). He totally got that he’s being pumped for information, but found Phyllis amusing. Maybe being her friend will be fun, too.

Billy: Help Me Find Me

Billy continued his internal monologue about how he wants to be who he wants to be but no one will let him, even though he hasn’t even asked. Amanda told him about an ex of hers who got too controlling, to the point where she had to take out a restraining order. Her story in no way made Billy any less self-centered, as he continued to feel sorry for himself.

Elena (Brytni Sarpy) asked Nate (Sean Dominic) to be the doctor at the clinic Elena decided she wanted to start at New Hope. Nate said, sure. It’s not like he has a storyline or anything. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
