The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 30, 2020 finishes off the month with a classic episode from April 3, 2009, as Billy psyched himself up for a wedding to Chloe, Kay psyched herself up to break some major news to Jill, Sharon psyched herself up to stand up for Chloe… after a night with Billy. Plus, a cake was about to get it.
Billy (Billy Miller) woke up in bed with Sharon (Sharon Case), as both remembered that it’s his wedding day to Chloe (Elizabeth Henrickson). Ashley (Eileen Davidson) tried to get Billy to admit that he doesn’t want to go through with this. Billy admitted he doesn’t, but it’s the only way he can get custody of Delia.
Later, he and Chloe discussed whether they should, in fact, get married today. They decided… yeah… OK, let’s get married. Did either of them realize that you can co-parent without being a reluctant couple?
Sharon got ready to be Chloe’s bridesmaid when Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) stomped in to yell at Sharon for calling Phyllis’s husband, all needy… and blonde. Considering that Phyllis slept with Nick (Joshua Morrow) while he was still married to Sharon, she has every reason to fear that Nick might sleep with Sharon while married to her.
Kay (Jeanne Cooper) fretted about getting test results proving that Jill (Jess Walton) wasn’t her long lost daughter, after all. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) promised to call as soon as she heard anything. In the meantime, Kay should enjoy Billy and Chloe’s wedding.
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley were impressed when Jill declined to make a scene. At first. Though she did blame Jack for forcing this union. But then, the cake was wheeled in. And neither Kay nor Jill could wait for it to be served properly.
