The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 22 features Christian’s custody hearing as Nick laid out his case…while Adam went straight for the dirty dealings.
Meanwhile, the Baldwins played their part in hurting Nick’s case, while Lauren wondered what was up with Michael and Kevin, and Nikki and Victor abandoned their son in his time of need to tell each other how wonderful Victor is.
Order In the Court
Denise Huxtable’s husband and Edward Quartermaine’s grandson on General Hospital (Joseph C. Phillips) is the judge who will decide Christian’s fate. Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) told Nick (Joshua Morrow) he had to recuse himself from the case.
Nick suspected Adam got to him. Lauren (Tracey Bregman) had her suspicions, too, and Michael stomped out, grumbling about getting no support.
Nick showed up at court and told the judge he will be defending himself. He waxed poetic about what a great relationship he has with Noah (Robert Adamson), Summer (Hunter King), and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), and about what a great home he is providing for Christian, while Adam is a back from the dead thug. He also pulled out the old “only father Christian has ever known” line, dismissing Dylan (Steve Burton).
Adam countered that Nick isn’t as great as he seems and made sure the judge saw the video Nick pretending to be JT — sent by Kevin (Greg Rikaart).
Brotherly Love
Meanwhile, Michael and Kevin lamented being under Adam’s thumb — not to mention Lauren trying to get to the bottom of what was going on. Kevin suggested the only way they’ll ever be free is to get rid of Adam for good.
Love Nest
Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) went on vacation. Victor considered stopping treatment because of his memory loss. Nikki told him he has to fight, and that she always knows how much he loves her. Even, presumably, while he’s having his affairs.
