The Young and the Restless Recap: Bad Honeymoon, Old Movie, and Smooth Lines

The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, December 3, 2020, features young (and restless?) love all around as Chance and Abby are disappointed by their honeymoon cottage, Kyle and Summer decide to go public, Lily catches Billy with another woman, and the conversation about Dina’s lost jewelry continues even without Dina.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Chance (Justin Gaston) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) arrive at their island hideaway to find a rundown cabin – without a bed! But there is food in the mini-fridge and a beach outside and they’re young and in love, and, oh, what the heck, they’ll make the best of it. They read the marital advice written for them by people who have failed at marriage. Then it starts to rain.

This Is Me

Kyle (Michael Mealor) tries to get Summer (Hunter King) interested in a classic Cary Grant romantic comedy, but she insists that newer is always better. Then their internet goes down and Summer suggests going to Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) hotel. Kyle wonders if there won’t be questions then about their being back together, but Summer is fine with it now since her motivation changes every sixteen minutes.

The first person they run into is Sally (Courtney Hope), who offers to be Summer’s mentor. Summer is a brat about it, as per usual. But even she realizes it.

Three Is a Crowd

Earlier, Sally had been chatting up Billy (Jason Thompson). Lily (Christel Khalil) wasn’t pleased to see it and sent Sally on her way. Seriously, nobody in Genoa City knows about Sally’s LA past, so why are they automatically so nasty to her?

Lily has an idea to look at security footage to prove Billy wasn’t out while Chance was shot. He manages to turn the conversation towards Lily taking him home for the night. Smooth, dude…

Talk Therapy

Jack (Peter Bergman) tells the story of Dina’s (Marla Adams) missing necklace again. Nina (Tricia Cast) wants to write her story. Traci (Beth Maitland) says she already is writing it as a novel. But Nina can write the screenplay. Yay, everyone is happy! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
