The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 27, 2020, features Adam coming to terms with what he did as a child just as Billy is excited to tell the world all about it. Plus, Elena pries into Nate’s life.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Adam (Mark Grossman) came home to Kansas, crawled under the kitchen table, and remember that he did, in fact, kill AJ after the loan shark threatened his mom. Sharon (Sharon Case) arrived to find Adam in full breakdown mode. She tries to convince him it wasn’t his fault, he was a scared, desperate kid.
No, Adam counters, he was a kid who was so angry that he wanted to hurt AJ. This wasn’t about protecting Hope, this was about lashing out. Adam was a cold-blooded killer as a kid, no wonder he is such a mess now!
Stop the Presses
Even before anyone knew about Murdered AJ, Billy (Jason Thompson) saw Adam as a cold-blooded killer because of what happened with Delia. When Victoria (Amelia Heinle) tells him about her brother’s past, Billy can’t wait to publish the details. But he won’t tell Lily (Christel Khalil) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) where he got the scoop.
Uh-uh, lawyer Amanda says. You can’t publish that. Lily wonders if the info came from Victoria. Because, duh… Billy instantly forgets that whole protecting the source thing and says, yeah, it was Victoria. So can we run it now? Pretty, please?
Business Plan
Having shared girl-talk with Amanda about Nate (Sean Dominic), Elena (Brytni Sarpy) now thinks she can pump Nate about his feelings for Amanda. He doesn’t appreciate the prying into his personal business and reminds Elena of his tragic past with the dead fiancee.
It’s a good thing he does because fans have pretty much forgotten that was his original backstory. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
