The Young and the Restless Recap: Adam Is Finally Free… But Sad

The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, May 12 spread the news of Chelsea confessing to framing Adam. Rey apologizing, Phyllis wondering, and Sharon cutting to the chase.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Victor (Eric Braeden) tells Adam (Mark Grossman) he’s a free man. Adam wonders what drove Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) over the edge. Victor says it was his affair with Sharon (Sharon Case). Adam denies! Then the conversation, as usual, turns to how awesome Victor is.

At the same time, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is filling in Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) on the developments. Sharon doesn’t gloat or say, “I told you so.” Sharon only wants to know what this means for her and Rey’s marriage. Rey fills Sharon in on Chelsea’s claim that Sharon and Adam have been having sex in Adam’s bed. The fact that Rey could even ask her about it upsets Sharon into storming off.

She storms straight into Adam’s room. Where they confirm that they weren’t having an affair. Shame they seem to be the only two who believe that. Adam looks at a photo of Chelsea, as she naps at the mental hospital… and opens her eyes like an undead Jason.

Summer (Hunter King) is thrilled that Faith (Reylynn Caster) has a new kidney. Phyllis is thrilled, too. But she still won’t forgive Adam. And she really wants to know what Nick said to get Adam to come back to Genoa City. Summer suggests they wait for Nick to tell them. Nah, Phyllis isn’t feeling it.

And speaking of telling people things, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) senses that Victor is hiding something. Victor compliments Nikki on knowing him so well. But he doesn’t tell her what he’s done… now.
