The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
YR celebrates its twelve thousandth episode with guests gathering at the Chancellor mansion for Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chance’s (Justin Gaston) wedding. Jill (Jess Walton) recalls Kay (Jeanne Cooper) heckling her over Jill’s marriage to John (Jerry Douglas).
Victor (Eric Braeden) remember Ashley (Eileen Davidson) promising to love him forever, and Traci (Beth Maitland) reminds Ashley about Brad, who was Abby’s dad long before Victor entered the picture. All of this comes with flashbacks!
At the same time, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) remembers all the reasons why Abby, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and the rest of the Newmans might not be delighted to see her at the wedding, and tells Nick (Joshua Morrow) to go on without her. Then to come back and let Phyllis blow his mind.
Not Getting Married Today
Maid of Honor Mariah (Camryn Grimes) comes to pick up Abby, only to find the bride locked in the bathroom. Abby is remembering all of her previous failed relationships, including her busted marriage to Stitch, and her broken engagement to Arturo (Jason Canela). She decides she was the common denominator problem in all of those disasters and vows not to ruin Chance’s life by marrying him.
Meanwhile, Chance is welcoming mom Nina (Tricia Cast) to town but is called away to tend to a hysterical Abby. Chance talks to her through the locked door, insisting she is wonderful, and he was actually having second thoughts about someone as great as her being stuck with someone as lame as him. Abby opens the door and stares at Chance meaningfully. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
