The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, July 22 invites fans to take a step back to 1993 when Dru and Neil were newlywed, Jill was newly pregnant, and Christine was in danger from a new source…
Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Dru (Victoria Rowell) are married, and Kay (Jeanne Cooper) is throwing them a party, inviting their nearest, their dearest… and everyone else in Genoa City. The guests toast to the happy couple. Everyone is happy.
Well, maybe not everyone. Jill (Jess Walton) is acting weird… er than usual. And it’s not just because she enjoys mortifying Kay. Jill is acting like she’s drunk. Which would not be good, since Jill is also pregnant. She hasn’t told her husband, John (Jerry Douglas) yet. That’s because, at the moment, the baby’s paternity is split between John, and Victor (Eric Braeden).
Eventually, Billy (Jason Thompson) is decreed to be John’s. But longtime fans have always wondered, why did the first teenage Billy look so much like Victor’s daughter, Victoria? The answer is because David Tom played young Billy, while his real-life sister, Heather Tom, played Victoria. Of course, now that they’re a much-married couple with two children, it’s pretty certain the show won’t be revisiting THAT paternity puzzle!
Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) may have been evil and crazy. But he sure was clever! Christine (Lauralee Bell) think she’s safe inside her apartment. She’s got a guard at the door, what could go wrong?
But clever Michael is much more clever than that! Clever Michael rented the apartment next door to Christine’s, and now he is literally chiseling through the wall to get to her! Let’s see your puny little guard protect you now, Christine!
