On The Young and the Restless, Sharon accused Phyllis of missing Adam, branding them both fellow outcasts. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) taunted that Adam (Mark Grossman) had actually kept in touch with her — unlike with Sharon (Sharon Case) or Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan).
Even though both may deny it, there is definitely *something* between Adam and Phyllis. The question is, are we seeing romantic sparks- – or just a mutual desire to get back at the good people of Genoa City? Could they be a hot couple down the road? What over 12,000 viewers are cooking up:
Uh-uh, no way, 58% of you are shaking your heads and waving your arms like a plane is about to land. This would be a match made in hell. Both Adam and Phyllis do better with people who are at least a little nicer than them.
Adam with Chelsea and Sharon, Phyllis with Nick and Billy and Jack. It’s like how two magnets repel each other. Sure, they tend to mess up their relationships with the slightly nicer people sooner rather than later, but, for a while there, their edges are blunted a little. Adam and Phyllis would just egg each other on to greater and greater feats of evil… and that’s not good for anyone.
Isn’t it, though? The possibility of Adam and Phyllis bringing out the worse in each other sounds perversely appealing to a smaller 42% The Young and the Restless fans. Obviously, neither one is capable of walking the straight and narrow for long.
So why not embrace their dark sides and go big or go home. Together, Adam and Phyllis could bring down the Abbotts and maybe even Victor, too. (We know, we know, that could never happen, but they can at least give him a run for his money.) The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
