Chance returned to The Young and the Restless under mysterious circumstances. We know he has some kind of a past with Adam (Mark Grossman), but neither is talking. Chance hung out for a while, dropping out of ceilings to save damsels and moppets in distress like Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Judah Mackey). He also tracked down conmen like Colin (Tristan Rogers).
But you’re nobody on a soap opera until you have a love interest. So Chance (Danny Boaz) started dating Abby (Melissa Ordway).
But who is that lurking on the periphery? Why, it’s Phyllis (Michelle Stafford)! She wants intel she can use against Adam. Oh, and she wants to watch Abby turn many shades of puce. So she’s been flirting with Chance. Which woman is the right one for him? We heard from almost 6,000 voters!
It wasn’t even close as 90% self-identified as Team Abby. Sure, she’s kind of boring and devoid of personality and a bit entitled and terribly blonde. But she’s not a bad person.
She tries to do the right thing… most of the time. And she got hurt by Arturo (Jason Canela) is story retcon so preposterous, viewers’ heads are still spinning. Cut the girl some slack. Give her a G-man to play with.
Phyllis deserves a break too, a much smaller 10% counter. She was dumped by Billy (Jason Thompson)… who slept with her daughter. Nick (Joshua Morrow) isn’t interested in another go-around. And Adam, who she thought was her friend, tried to get her to play whore for his benefit.
She also deserves a nice guy. And Chance is a nice guy. Who likely knows something not very nice about Adam. It’s what we call a win-win! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
