The Young and the Restless fans are really hoping that this enforced time off has given The Powers That Be the time – and the sense – to take a good, hard look at their canvas, and assess what – or who – is missing.
Which character should make a return appearance as soon as possible? Find out how the show’s multitude of fans voted on this very important question.
An even 50% of you went with Ashley (Eileen Davidson). She’s already halfway home, anyway. She and Jack (Peter Bergman) have made up. And she’s coming home for holidays, funerals, and weddings.
So why not make it a full-time return? Abby (Melissa Ordway) could certainly use the motherly advice. And, hey, where has Ravi been hiding? That never got closure, did it?
A smaller 20% of the audience needs to see Cane (Daniel Goddard) come home and get Lily (Christel Khalil) back! Their break up never made much sense. Neither does his not coming home after Devon’s (Bryton James) money issue was settled. And if Lily doesn’t want him, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is free again. How was that kiss back in the day, anyway?
Victoria’s son, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) gets mentioned periodically, and we see him on some occasions. YR desperately needs a teen scene like it had back in the days of Billy, Raoul, Brittany, Mac, and JT. We’ve seen them in action in classic reruns. Now let’s rebuild it around Reed… and maybe Brittany’s son, Joshua, 18% ask?
A last-place 12% want to see JT (Thad Luckinbill) come back and prove that he’s no longer a wife-abusing stalker. Wouldn’t that be fun? He and Victoria can deal with where they stand now as co-parents, and Reed can be the reason they keep having to deal with each other. It’ll be an old teen scene. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
