Oh, look, Billy and Victoria have broken up — again — on The Young and the Restless. Surely, this time it’s for good. What are the odds of him ending up comatose and her remembering her love for him — again? Or her thinking she killed her ex and burying him under a fountain so that Billy (Jason Thompson) has to offer moral support?
Surely, they wouldn’t jerk Johnny and Katie around like that again? OK, big laugh, everyone. And now a serious question: What should be next for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy? We heard from over 13,000 passionate fans!
Almost two-thirds, 64% of the audience would like this, paraphrasing Cher, “to be their last goodbye.” Because you’re done. All these two ever do is hurt each other — and their kids. They lie, they don’t trust each other, and neither one really knows who the other is. Or so Billy is insisting these days.
What he really means is Victoria is refusing to tell him he’s great no matter what he does or how many promises he breaks. And he doesn’t like that. How dare Victoria even consider the possibility that Billy isn’t a greater man than her dad?
After all, Victor (Eric Braeden) is a self-made man who has cheated death multiple times and successfully ran a business for — is it 50 years now? Billy was born rich and still managed to fail spectacularly. Can’t Victoria see the brilliance in that?
They’ll get together again, 36% the Young and the Restless fans shrug. It’s inevitable. Frankly, no one else will put up with Billy. Even Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) isn’t buying the new and improved routine.
As for Victoria, no other man has enjoyed living in Victor’s shadow. At least, Billy has built himself a little home there. They’re not too great together. But Victoria and Billy are even worse with other people. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
