The Young and the Restless Poll Results: Is Theo Scamming The Abbotts?

Theo first arrived on The Young and the Restless almost pathetically eager to reconnect with his old party buddy from New York, Kyle.

Theo (Tyler Johnson) first tried to tease Kyle (Michael Mealor) about what a fuddy-duddy he was now that Lola (Sasha Calle) was in his life. Then, he tried to threaten Kyle back into friendship by bringing to Genoa City Zoe, a girl who years ago, Kyle and Theo didn’t keep from drinking herself almost dead.

When, shockingly, neither plan proved a winner, Theo decided to make nice with Lola as a way to get back into Kyle’s good graces.

But now, Theo no longer needs any of that. Seems he and Kyle are cousins! Dina (Marla Adams) gave birth to a baby whom she gave up for adoption before marrying John, and that mystery baby turned out to be Theo’s dad! Isn’t that convenient? A little too convenient, maybe? Is it all just another Theo scam? What over 3,000 fans suspect is going on:

Of course, it’s a scam, 75% of you roll your eyes in disgust. Obviously, Theo somehow got Dina to babble about Stuart Brooks and some wonderful, terrible night they shared together. He got Dina’s old friend to tell Jack (Peter Bergman) and Traci (Beth Maitland) about the baby she bore and gave up for adoption.

He faked a letter from Dina to Stuart that was in the Brooks’ sisters’ possession, and then he announced, “Ta-da! I am your long-lost grandson!” Yup, that is totally possible.

Tough Job

And then there are the 25% of The Young and the Restless fans who aren’t sure how Theo might have pulled all that off. Especially considering the response Dina had to his last name.

Besides, everyone keeps saying how this makes Theo an Abbott. Theo isn’t an Abbott. So what would his game be here? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
