The Young and the Restless does a better job than some other soaps of keeping the same actors in the same parts for multiple decades. Which makes it easier to use flashbacks. But makes it harder to change character relationships, if fans have been watching them for years.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Currently, Sharon (Sharon Case) has volunteered to help Victoria (Amelia Heinle) deal with her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after being stabbed in the side by Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) stalker.
They actually managed to have a nice conversation about husbands, kids, and parents. Could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship? Is this something fans would want to see? Almost 9,000 let us know!
You Gotta Have Friends
We’ve been waiting for these two to realize how much they have in common, 92% of the audience is cheering. It’s not just the men they’ve shared. They’ve also been longtime members of the Newman family. Granted, Victoria was born into it, while Sharon married into it – more than once.
But they both know what it’s like to face the wrath of Victor (Eric Braeden), the interference of Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and the judgment of Nicholas (Joshua Morrow). They can share tips. And have each other’s backs.
Red Hot Rivalry
A much tinier 8% of you would prefer the pair remain rivals. Barbs and catfights are so much more fun than civilized cups of tea and mutual respect. Victoria’s loyalty should be to her own family, and Sharon isn’t family. She just periodically marries Nick and pops out an heir or two. That’s not family. That’s family adjacent.
Plus, neither approves of how the other lives her life and fans like hearing them express that fact. Loudly. Let Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wax poetic about their girl bond. And let Sharon and Victoria keep going at it. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
