Phyllis is down on The Young and the Restless, but she isn’t out! She lost her man, Billy (Jason Thompson). She lost one of her only friends, Adam (Mark Grossman). And she temporarily lost her stake in the hotel to Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan).
The Young and the Restless Polling
But Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is not known for her ability to lay down and play dead. She has vowed, Scarlett O’Hara style, that “With God as my witness, I’ll never go hungry again!” Although, you know, without the actual never having been hungry part.
Phyllis has now gotten the hotel back (well, half of it anyway). All the other stuff can trickle in later. Her first step was to bug Adam and Chance’s (Donny Boaz) private conversation. Her second was to use what she learned there to blackmail Chelsea and Chance.
Did Phyllis deserve to win this showdown? What almost 6,000 viewers believe should happen:
Loser… With Two LLs
A woman standing up for herself? Smack her down, 84% of the audience advises. It’s not that she’s a woman. It’s how she chooses to go about this. She isn’t playing fair. Sure, no one else in Genoa City does either.
But it’s not like Phyllis is Victor (Eric Braeden). When he does it, it’s because he loves his family. And, oh, yeah, something, something, orphanage, something, something. When Phyllis does it, it’s because she’s evil.
Was she ever an orphan? Uh-uh! Did she ever have Oscar-winning parents come on to beg her forgiveness? No way! Phyllis deserves no breaks!
Lift Phyllis Up
Of course, she does, a much smaller 16% cheer. Phyllis is proactive. She doesn’t sit around waiting for something possibly good to happen. Phyllis makes things happen. It’s about time it was something good. Burn it all down, Phyllis. Burn it all down!
