The Young and the Restless Poll Results: Should Adam Go Full SuperVillain?

Ever since Adam returned to The Young and the Restless, it’s been difficult to pin him down. Is he a scorned son? A devoted dad? A romantic leading man? A brilliant businessman? A blackmailer? A cold-blooded killer?

The majority 63% of the audience sees Adam as already well down that road. He just manipulated a childhood friend to get him the goods on Victor (Eric Braeden), so he could use it to blackmail his father into naming him CEO of Newman Enterprises. That’s pretty much how your average supervillain gets their start. Go, Adam, embrace the dark side – and your destiny! (According to Victor, Adam did what Adam claims Victor did.)

I’m a Lover, Not a Fighter

A smaller 26% disagree – strenuously. Adam isn’t a mustache-twirling villain. He’s a man in love. At least, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) seems to think so. She is convinced that everything Adam does is right. He is the best man, the best husband, the best father who ever lived. Shouldn’t Adam justify her love – and her faith?

You don’t want to see a woman get her heart broken – no matter how stupid she’s been. You want to see Chelsea and Connor (Judah Mackey) and Adam get their happily ever after. You want Adam to restore your faith in love – and in him.

Adam Has A Job To Fill

Only 11% are all-in, figuring somebody in Genoa City has to be bad, and it certainly won’t be Victor! No one else on the canvas is clearly so well placed to wreak havoc everywhere he goes.
