The Young and the Restless may be on hiatus, but that doesn’t mean fans can – or should – stop speculating about what comes next. Since Victor (Eric Braeden) is the most important man in Genoa City – at least, in his own mind – his future is obviously the most important.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Which is why over 2,000 fans had this to say about what should happen when the show returns.
Step Back
We know how Victor would feel about this proposal, but 64% of the audience would like to see Victor quit obsessing over his children. Let Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nicholas (Joshua Morrow), Adam (Mark Grossman), and Abby (Melissa Ordway) fend for themselves.
Victor should take the time and energy he puts into trying to make them do what he says – you got that? – and spend it focusing on Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Now that you’ve watched the classic reruns demonstrating how much of his life Victor spent lying to Nikki – not that she didn’t give back as good as she got – you figure it’s the least he owes her.
Loving Care
On the other hand, 21% of you prefer that Victor try and make Adam feel loved and appreciated. Maybe then he wouldn’t be such a bastard, thinking he can blackmail his dad into loving and respecting him. Make it so Adam doesn’t have any more ammunition – and doesn’t need any, either.
What’s Yours Is Mine
Finally, 15% of the fans are tired of stay-at-home Victor. You want to see him wheeling and dealing again, fighting to get his company back from Victoria, and proving who’s still the big boss. It shouldn’t be very hard.
Isn’t the company still Victor’s? Victoria works for him. Sure, she blackmailed him, too, just like Adam. But Victoria is playing with the big boys now. Let Daddy teach her more lessons. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
