On The Young and the Restless, from the moment Adam became convinced that Victor had killed the guy who killed Adam’s stepfather, fans knew where this was headed. Oh, look, yet another story about a kid who killed a guy but blocked it out and everyone rallied around to protect him! This is exactly what happened.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Adam (Mark Grossman) tried to blackmail Victor into giving him the CEO position of Newman Enterprises, but as soon as Victor (Eric Braeden) told Victoria (Amelia Heinle) the truth, she went running to Adam and made sure she kept her job away from him.
Now Victoria is smug, Adam is hysterical, and Victor is coming off as a hero. So… everybody got what they wanted? Was this whole thing a set-up by Victor all along? What almost 4,000 fans think:
Victor Rules
Of course, Victor is telling the truth; 80% of you are offended we even felt the need to ask. Everything happened exactly the way Victor said. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to protect his children, and here is a perfect example. Anyone who doubts his choices is just a hater.
Plot Twice
Oh, it’s a plot all right, 12% of the audience has no doubts about that. Victor set the whole thing up. He’s probably even the one who sent Alyssa in the first place, got her to feed that story to Adam, then sat back and let his son freak out – which is what’s keeping him from launching another plan to take over Newman Enterprises.
Illusion
It’s a plot, 8% agree, but Adam is the one who set it up. He knew about it all along and is preying on Victor’s guilt to eventually give Adam what he wants. If the blackmail didn’t work, surely playing the You Were a Crappy Dad card will! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
