Billy has been all over the place on The Young and the Restless. He wants unconditional approval for the new him, but the folks of Genoa City aren’t playing along. Are fans? We found out how you really feel about Billy’s (Jason Thompson) latest life choices, thanks to almost 5,000 votes!
Billy needs serious help, 72% of the audience decree. The guy is a mess. He’s ruined his relationship with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). He’s practically abdicated custody of Johnny and Katie to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden). He turned down Jill’s (Jess Walton) offer of a job, and he’s gone back to gambling because, hey, it’s cool, he can handle it now.
This is not a fellow on the right track. This is a guy on a downward spiral. That he won’t admit to. And he’s pushing away everyone who might still care about him. Until nobody does.
A less certain 16% isn’t sure how they feel about Billy acting out. On the one hand, he clearly wasn’t happy before, working with Kyle (Michael Mealor), playing house with Victoria and the kids.
Billy wanted to go out on his own professionally. As for what’s going on with him personally… this is the guy who got back at Phyllis (then-Gina Tognoni) for sleeping with Nick (Joshua Morrow) by sleeping with Summer (Hunter King). So something had to change. You’re just not sure it should be this.
Meanwhile, a minority 12% agree with Billy. He’s fine. He knows what’s best for him and he knows what he needs to be happy. If the people who allegedly love him can’t get behind this, then they can take a hike. Let Billy be Billy, and leave the guy alone. If he wants to drive his sports car into a wall… what business is it of yours? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
